We’re excited for Document Destruction Day 2026! This year, we’re hosting the event on Saturday, April 18th, from 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Our charity sponsor for this year’s event is Mid-Michigan Recovery Services.

For more than 65 years, Mid-Michigan Recovery Services (MMRS) has worked to save and restore the lives of drug and alcohol patients by connecting them with recovery, health, housing, community and hope. With a focus on helping our poorest neighbors, those with nowhere else to turn, MMRS helps people find recovery and stability so they can stay on the job, safely housed, restored to family and part of a vibrant community.

As the region’s longest serving, most comprehensive nonprofit agency providing addiction treatment, MMRS provides an array of accredited services, including:

·         Residential treatment and case management for men (Holden House, 14 beds) and women (Glass House, 14 beds)

·         Recovery housing (post-treatment transitional housing and support): Men’s Safe Harbor (four homes, 24 beds) and Women’s Safe Harbor (two homes, 12 beds)

·         Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Therapy — tens of thousands of hours of group and individual sessions every year

·         Peer Recovery Coaching — Specially licensed individuals who have gone through recovery and now help others navigate court programs and the path to long-term recovery

All services are based in Lansing, with headquarters at 316 Moores River Drive. Learn more at www.midmichiganrecoveryservices.org/
